This photo was taken at Reiman Gardens at Iowa State University. It had herb gardens, vegetable gardens, flower gardens, and butterfly gardens! When I saw the sunflowers, I was immediately excited because there aren't many sunflowers around where I live and if there are then they’re chewed up by rabbits or eaten by bugs. At Reiman Gardens, they clearly take care of all their plants because everything there was in amazing condition. I wasn't even thinking when I just started snapping pictures of the sunflowers. I wasn't double checking anything— including the exposure. Its overexposed and when I noticed that after we had left the gardens, my heart almost sank. I had been so excited to take the pictures and I thought they would have looked so cool if they’d been exposed properly. Well, looking back at them, I think the overexposure adds a nice little touch to the photo. It is almost like a painting. And I like that now. Not a real ‘story’ but I thought I’d share my “upset to approval” on this particular photograph. — at Reiman Gardens.
