This is an Amur Tiger cub. How cute, huh? This was taken November, 2011. One of the two cubs that was at the Minnesota Zoo was born in June at the Minnesota Zoo and the other was born in July at the Saint Louis Zoo. They Minnesota Zoo took in the other from Saint Louis for better socializing for the cubs. I managed to get a picture of this little guys face as it paced a couple times in front of the glass. It had mostly been laying in the grass partially behind a wall. I just love the look in the eyes. Just looks curious about everything. Its great to have these cubs at such a close location too. This particular species of tiger has fewer than 500 in the wild. — at Minnesota Zoo.
